Haiku #4

Vodka, gin can mix
This world into drunken shame
Why? We all partake.

Rubber ring floating
Children splashing, mother white
Lifeguard approaching.

Tiny darts of rain
Break the surface of my pool
Increasing volume.

Beeping thumping horns
Fingers strumming, lips curled tight
My traffic jam blues.
